PASSINGS

I know that death and change are all a part of living. Still, they are sometimes hard to accept.

Many of you may already know that Odette's has been sold. I do not yet know what the new owner plans for the site. Meanwhile, Bob Egan has, at least temporarily, moved the Cabaret to the Stockton Inn. Check out Bob's website for details on what is happening www.bobegan.net

Last week, just two days before an opening at Triumph of his paintings and ceramics, Don Jordan passed over to a better place. Don was a well loved and well respected artist who lived in New Hope. He was an avid supporter of anything to do with the arts. I met Don a little over a year ago - in ceramics class with Elaine Daniels - and I grew to love, admire, and appreciate him. What a wonderful man/father/human being/artist. I, and a lot of other people, will miss him dearly. My sympathies go out to his adoring children.

When things change so dramatically, it makes me look more closely at my own life - sit back and observe for a moment. We get so caught up in things - we sometimes don't take the time to see the bigger picture. What I am seeing for me is that I am letting myself get caught up in the dramas of everyday living and not allowing myself to just BE.

Breathe in, breathe out.

NEWSLETTER NEWS

I know, I know - I, too, can hardly believe it. This newsletter marks the 73rd issue. At least I think so. I didn't keep the first two years of newsletters because they went out from my personal email. I have been using an email service since 2002.

FYI - there are 982 newsletter subscribers. I would like to break 1000. Can you help me out? Forward this newsletter to a friend or two and recommend they subscribe. The idea is to inform, inform, inform. To keep people abreast of what's happenin' in New Hope and Lambertville. Next month I'lll let you know how many new members we've got!
