TO MAINE
Look at that - I almost forgot to send out the August newsletter. I have been busy since getting back from my trip to Maine. Yes! I WAS in Maine and it wasn't a long enough trip. Barb and I headed up on a Thursday morning. We stopped at LL Bean in Freeport - did you know they are open 24 hours a day? They are adding on AGAIN. I remember first visitng Beans sometime in the 80s. It was just one building then. Now it is an entire complex! The best part of the trip was that we were there while the folks in New Hope were living with the hottest, humidest days of the year. Some of our nights were in the 50s and we just opened the windows to let the cool air whistle through the house. That's all until next year

Each
year we have so many things to do during our visit to Maine.
This year we tried to
fit in as much as possible but still didn't
get it all done! We visited art galleries, our favorite consignment
shop, the Big Chicken Barn, and several beaches where we collected
rocks. We filled our days and evenings with relaxing, shopping,
talking, and eating. I guess that is what a vacation should
be all about. I am including a photo Barb took of me at Seawall
and another I took of her on one of our rock expeditions.
