PUPPY LOVE

This newsletter keeps getting later and later in the month, doesn't it. Well, this month I have a really good excuse. George and I got a puppy - a Poochon - a miniature poodle/bichon mix. We picked her up on my birthday in the beginning of February and named her Lexi. Wow, has my life changed!

Our house, which, by the way USED to have white rugs, is now littered with doggy toys and shredded bits of whatever Lexi can get her teeth into. The long drapes in our living room give a whole new meaning to the term "puddled.". "NO!" has become the de facto word of the day. My jacket, George's slip-on shoes, and Lexi's leash are ready at the door so I can rush her outside when I have the least inclination that she has to pee. My jacket has doggy doo bags in one pocket and puppy treats in the other. On a good day, I get 4 hours of work done while Lexi sleeps. Oh, and sleeping in? Sleeping in is for the faint of heart. New puppy owners must forego that luxury. Five to six hours of sleep is pure ecstasy. For the first time ever my neighbors are seeing my "wild woman wake up look" in the morning as I rush out the door with a wiggling fuzz ball in my outstretched hands running for the designated pee area!

Is is all worth it? YES!

Needless to say, George and I have both fallen hopelessly in love with this little bundle of fur.

So, please forgive me if my newsletter is a bit late. One look at Lexi's face and you will know why!

WOULD YOU LIKE TO HELP?

This website has been up for over six years and in that six-year period I have run the site pretty much as a service to the community. The monies that come in for premium listings only go so far towards funding the site.

I have recently set up a donation button (on the HOME PAGE and on the LIST WITH US page) so that if you wish to help fund this site, you can do it now! If every newsletter subscriber gave $1 per month, it would pay for the site AND would help pay for another person to help out part-time.

Thank you in advance for your generosity!
