THE BRIDGE IS OPEN!

Yes, finally! The Free Bridge is once again open. I received an email this AM from Ellen Pineno (Office Mgr of the Lambertville Chamber of Commerce) who let me know that the bridge opened officially at 11:30 PM last evening.

After 5 and a half long months, we can finally cross the Lambertville/ New Hope Free Bridge any time we want to.

There will still be people working on the landscaping and finishing touches but the roadway and pedestrian walkway are now open ALL THE TIME. When I find out when the bridge opening ceremony is going to take place, I will announce it on the website.

Many thanks to all of the visitors and locals who continued to support New Hope and Lambertville during this inconvenient time of bridge reconstruction.

There is something about the bridge being open that makes me feel safer somehow – does that sound crazy?

I think I'll go down and walk across just for the heck of it.

RESOURCES FOR WELLNESS

Resources for Wellness is back again with two new articles.

C.F. Neuman writes about birthdays and the woes of aging. (Don’t I know first hand!) Read Another birthday bites the dust.

Megan Wetzel offers us an insight into the art of journaling in Revealing Your Mind & Body.

Please read both articles by clicking on the Resources for Wellness link on the home page.

MESSAGE BOARD

We finally have an automated Message Board (Community Board.) For the last 3 years or so I have had to upload every message that went onto the Message Board!

Now, it is all automated. Although I have to approve each message first (to make sure that nothing inappropriate appears on our site) but once I approve the message, up it goes. Hooray.

Go check it out and let me know what you think.

Happy Father’s Day to all you dads out there – and a special greeting to my own Dad, who probably won’t see this message ‘cause he’s not a computer geek like his daughter.

And Happy Birthday to my Mom!

Your friendly editor,

PS I just noticed that this month's newsletter has an extra lot of exclamation points! My apologies to all the writer purists out there!!!!
