Annual New Hope History Day, June

AM - 3 PM, New Hope.
Sponsored by the New Hope Historical Society, the
New Hope Solebury High School AP History Classes, and
Coryell's Ferry Militia.
The New Hope Historical Society's
annual New Hope History Day has continued to expand
its celebration of the borough's meaninful role in
the American Revolution.
Watch the parade as it moves
from the NHS High School down Ferry Street . Coryell's
Ferry Militia will be reenacting Washingon't Crossing
at Coryell's Ferry. At 10:30 AM the new Historic
Site Marker at the New Hope Solebury Library will be
dedicated. At 11:15 there will be a commemoration of
Washington's Crossing on his way to the Battle of Monmouth.
The parade ends at the Parry Mansion where High School
students will demonstrate colonial activities.
At 2:30 PM there will be a
tour of the Parry Mansion for Delaware Steam Boat
Classroom ticket holders.
At 3:30 the Delaware River
Steamboat embarks on a floating classroom tour of the
river.
Join us anywhere along the
parade route and plesae do stop by the Parry Mansion
in support of the High School students' project.
