Arts & Crafts
Festival 2006

The
13th Annual Juried New Hope Outdoor Arts & Crafts
Festival, sponsored by the Greater New Hope Chamber
of Commerce, returns this year on Saturday, September
30th and Sunday, October 1st, 2006. The two-day Festival
is free to the public and attracts artists and visitors
from all points along the East Coast and as far away
as California and Florida.
Works
in photography, watercolors, oils, pastels, pen and
ink drawings, silver and gold
jewelry, ceramics,
wearable art, glass, wood, sculpture, and fine
furniture will be featured. Festival hours are 10:30
a.m. to
6:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 30 and 10:30 a.m.
to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 1. The event is
held rain or shine.
North
Main Street will be closed to traffic and will become
an Outdoor Mall for more
than 125 premier
artists and craftspeople. Mechanic Street will
also
be closed
to traffic and will feature a "Young Artists" exhibition
and special “family activities” booths.
Local
restaurants (including The Landing, Triumph
Brewery, Main Squeeze, and Mother's) will provide
food and drink
for happy Festival attendees and many merchants
throughout town will offer in-store specials.
To top off the
festivities, a variety of musicians will be
performing
around town.
Festival
brochures will include exhibitor information, a list
of sponsors, and discount
coupons and
will be available at the New Hope Visitor's
Center and
at the
Chamber booth on North Main. Volunteers carrying
newsbags will be handing out brochures as
well.
Paid
parking is available at multiple locations throughout
New Hope and the FREE New Hope Trolley
will help shuttle
