The Riverside Symphonia Kicks Off Its 21st Season –
Bringing A “World of Music” To New Hope And Lambertville –No Passport Required!
On October 1st and 2nd at 8 PM the Church of St. John the Evangelist will once again be filled with orchestral music as the Riverside Symphonia kicks off its 21st season! This season’s series of concerts will take audiences to the four corners of the world to experience classical musical treasures while also introducing them to some exciting new surprises and interpretations.
The season kicks off with a rich melodic visit to Prague and Vienna - birthplaces to some of the most wonderful music ever written. This concert promises to be a one of a kind musical journey, bringing together the elegance of Mozart with the charming melodies and Czech rhythms of Dvorak. One of the most beloved Baroque concertos by Bach – the Brandenburg Concerto No. 2 – featuring the Riverside’s own superbly talented soloists, completes a program not to be missed.
Other notable highlights in this season’s schedule include the 2010 winner of the Caprio Young Artists Competition, a brilliant young violinist, Clare Semes; the return of internationally acclaimed classical guitarist, Marcin Dylla (people are still talking about his last performance with the Symphonia); and Lara St. John, who is coming back to the Symphonia after the release of her new chart topping CD “Mozart.” This time, Lara’s bringing with her several of the classical music world’s most compelling young “stars” – hailed by critics and audiences alike as the ones to watch! All in all, it looks like a season not to be missed.
